Gordon Truck Roofed
The roof is completed on Gordon Trucking’s dealership expansion in Millersburg, Oregon. The 49,000 sq ft expansion will bring the total size of the dealership to 61,000 sq ft. This will expand parts, showroom and truck service bays. Also, it will add a completely new truck body shop.

The metal roofing was installed over batt insulation that is supported by the Simple Saver system. The insulation is held in place by a gridwork of tensioned steel straps. In this application, our client elected to double the number of straps so they are closer spaced. In addition to acting as OSHA approved fall protection during construction, the straps hold the insulation tight in place at the decking for the life of the roof.
In the truck service bays and truck body shop, the facing of the insulation is white to enhance the lighting for work in the space. In contrast, the 2-story high new truck showroom facing of the insulation is black as an architectural treatment. Construction is scheduled to be completed this spring with the existing dealership showroom, parts and service remaining operational in the meantime.
