Gordon Trucking Starts

Construction is underway for Gordon Trucking Center’s 60,000 sq ft expansion of a Freightliner Northwest dealership in Millersburg, Oregon.  The site adjacent to Albany is on a 22 acre site that accommodates truck and trailer parking in addition to the truck sales and service dealership.  Stratus Developers is working on behalf of Gordon Trucking to manage the designing, permitting and constructing of the building.  

The building pad was excavated and rock placed by Valley Pacific Construction, as excavator.   Now Perlo Construction, as general contractor, is forming the footings and getting under slab plumbing and electrical installed.  Construction is forecasted to be completed in less than a year.  

One of the challenges of the project is working while the existing 12,000 sq ft dealership with service bays is kept operational.  A number of trailer parking tenants need to be accommodated as well.  On the site itself, expansive clay soils had to be over excavated and exported from the site leaving a void that had to be filled with a large amount of imported rock.
